Genre
After the previous experience of making a thriller film,
we decided to choose this genre again as it was a genre that both me and Brad enjoyed and has strong conventions that can be played on, such as the chase scene.
Films that inspired and influenced us were Casino Royale, Unknown, Eagle Eye, and District 13.
Narrative
Our film opening will begin with a fade into a man with a laptop- we don't clearly see his face and he looks shady and worried as we are revealed that he is hacking something or someone due to a close-up of the computer. We are shown him typing and lines of code are shown scrolling through the laptop screen. After this the man notices somebody watching him out of the corner of his eye, shuts the laptop and puts it away. He begins to walk away, until he glances over his shoulder and realises the man is still there. Suddenly, he gets a phonecall, a closeup of an unknown caller is shown as he picks up the phone and a voiceover is used telling him one word "Run.". The man then looks behind him again and a fast soundtrack begins as he sprints off, and we are shown the other man beginning to chase him. The man keeps running, jumping over obstacles and running through alleyways until he reaches a dead-end. The other man is shown by an over-the-shoulder shot behind him, but the protagonist turns back and pushes past him, and is shown escaping. We then get a close-up of the protagonist catching his breath, and possibly a close-up of another text being received saying "Well done.", or something along these lines. The shot then fades to black, and the title is shown.
