Parkour

Parkour Scenes in Movies and Real Life

Both me and Brad are looking to include Parkour scenes in our 2 minutes film opening. Below are some examples of the type of thing we are looking to include.

Here is an example of a film parkour scene from I Am Number Four. The stunts he produces increase the intensity and fast-paced nature of the scene, and help the watcher to understand that the protagonist is in danger. Stunts like the jump over the log are something we are definately looking to include, as it shows the protagonist overcoming challenges and obstacles and shows the desperate nature of his attempts at escape and survival

Here is an example of real life parkour, although we obviously cannot pull off the majority of these tricks and stunts as we simply do not have the skill level, we are looking to put a front flip into our film, something that will help to show the skill of the person being chased and make the man chasing him seem weaker. This parkour will help to make our chase scene a more desperate and realistic chase than just running, as we see the lengths that the characters will go to to not be caught and alternatively, to catch.
